Essentially, the photo shows a nearly finished car, which, we must admit, the new Ford Focus ST looks great. These new photos were taken on the roads near the legendary Nürburgring in Germany. The ST-package of equipment looks “sharp” and elegant at the same time. This leaves much room for the RS model that has yet to be presented.
This model resembles the ST-Line aerodynamic package, but those with sharp eyes will be able to spot unique elements on it. There is a small diffuser mounted between the two exhaust pipes. Also there is a larger roof spoiler, larger alloy wheels with a new design and a new grille.
Unfortunately, there are no photos from the inside. This model will have sport seats with ST-markings, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and an upgraded instrument panel with new gauges.
As usual with Ford models carrying the ST label, the Focus ST will be placed a little closer to the ground. There will be a stiffer suspension and upgraded brakes. Under the hood, there is an EcoBoost engine with a 2.3 liters volume. This engine is replacing the former four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which had a working volume of two liters.
The new Focus ST will be somewhat stronger than the current model that develops 247 hp. The new Ford Focus ST model is expected to develop no more than 300 “horses” to avoid internal competition with the announced Ford Focus RS.
