Mel B Claims the Spice Girls are Going on Tour With or Without Victoria Beckham

During an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Mel B announced the Spice reunion was very much on, saying Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner herself were on board. “100 percent it’s happening,” she said.

The 43-year-old singer said three other band members are “for sure” joining her on tour: Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Sporty Spice (Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm) and Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell).

Mel B is very proud of Spice Girls

Mel B is very proud of what Spice Girls accomplished over the years.

The Spice Girls were originally called “Touch” but they changed the name after switching management in September 1995. The group comprised Melanie Brown (“Scary Spice“), Melanie Chisholm (“Sporty Spice“), Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice“), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice“), and Victoria Beckham (“Posh Spice“). In the US, they were called the biggest British invasion since the Beatles.  Their first single “Wannabe” won the Best Dance Video at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards. It was sold in more than 31 million copies. It becomes the best selling album by a female group of all time.

Spice Girls Reunion?

If a reunion does happen, Mel B already has all of her Spice Girls clothes.

When asked about Posh Spice (a.k.a. Victoria Beckham) Mel said:

“Well, we’ll see about that one.” Mel B has reassured Spice Girl fans that a tour is ‘100 percent’ happening. This will happen with or without Victoria Beckham.

The Spice Girls last performed together at the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics about 6 years ago. Since then, Victoria Beckham has continually refuted that she would take part in a new tour.

Mel B (Scary Spice) is saying there’s a reunion coming for many years now. There is a massive range of memorabilia that would bring a tear to any Spice Girls fan’s eye so we will have to wait and see if it is true this time.
